Richard Strachan is an Edinburgh-based writer. He has had short stories published in a number of magazines and journals, like New Writing Scotland, The Lonely Crowd, Interzone, Northwords Now, The Dark, Weird Horror, and many more.
He was given a New Writer's Award by the Scottish Book Trust, and has been shortlisted or longlisted for competitions like the Manchester Fiction Prize, the Bridport Prize and the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. His novel The Unrecovered will be published by Raven Books in February 2025.
He is represented by Sam Edenborough at Greyhound Literary.
